About Lodge

The Barei Jungle Lodge is located in the small hamlet of BareiJangel that is perched on the boundary of a nature reserve at an altitude of 6100 feet above mean sea level. Though the village is located only 75 kms.from the Pathankot Airport and 180 kms. from the Sri Guru Ram Dass International Airport at Amritsar, the Lodge itself is eons away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Barei Jungle Lodge is located in an area of Chamba district called Bhattiyat which has its headquarters at Chowari (ChauriKhas). From Chowari the newly metalled single road leads you through idyllic hamlets to the last motorable point at village Jajri. From here it is 2 km. trek with two stretches of steep ascent through pine and deodar forest.

The Lodge and Property

Our lodge is located at the edge of our 2 acre farm that has a stream running on its eastern boundary and is bound by a Forest Reserve on its southern and western edges. The Lodge has no immediate neighbors.
